Always invisible, never out of sight

’Always invisible, never out of sight’ is a combination of diary like snapshots, still life’s made of every day compositions, and premeditated portraits. Thematically Forstén’s work explores the identity of a young female. She uses her camera as a tool to project her inner world to the viewer. The photographs are documenting the beginning of adulthood, the end and the beginning of relationships, and the never-ending search for a home.

Forstén uses photography like a diary; to document her feelings and thoughts. Looking at photographs helps one to process the past and let go of the parts that cannot be changed. Taking a second look of what once was gives an opportunity to take a different point of view what is ahead. Forstén’s photographs and texts are melancholic but not hopeless; there is a spark of something new emerging
